Broad Ripple Winter Farmers Market

The Broad Ripple Farmers Market is at the former Macy's at Glendale Town Center, 2615 E. 62nd St., Indianapolis.

Produced by the Broad Ripple Village Association, the indoor winter market runs Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. through April. (The market is closed Dec. 24.)

More than 60 vendors sell fresh vegetables, meat, seafood, baked goods, and ready-to-eat dishes such as breakfast sandwiches, crepes and tamales. Visitors can dine in an area that features live music.

All of the farmers use organic growing practices. SNAP and Fresh Bucks are accepted.

Perry Community Farmers Market

The operators of the former Southport Farmers Market have regrouped to run the Perry Community Farmers Market at Dammanns Garden Center, 5129 Emerson Ave., Indianapolis, on Tuesdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. year-round.

Each week it features about 20 vendors along with various workshops, art lessons and hiring events.
