Winter Garden church donates surplus good for Ukraine to area nonprofits

A Winter Garden church that has helped the people of Ukraine now has a surplus of donations that’s allowing the church to help people right here in Central Florida.

Shawn Sullivan and his wife Amy run Mission 823, a Christian-based nonprofit.

It was created back in 2018 and dedicated to defending, rescuing and restoring at-risk children and their communities around the world, with a focus on Ukraine.

On Thursday, Sullivan gave away the surplus to local nonprofits. He said he expects to give all the boxes away on Thursday.
