Winter, here or no-show?

The ride continues this winter. We have gone from unbearable to pleasant within days. This all happening in February.

Outside Fenway Park it felt more like opening day instead of Super Bowl weekend. We asked people if winter was late or a no-show.

“Seems like no show,” a woman without a jacket told Boston 25.

Put the past two Fridays side by side and it can be disorienting or even discombobulating.

“It does and yes we are concerned about climate change. I mean you never know,” a Norwood woman told us.

We found one man who appeared to be having trouble committing to a season wearing a heavy winter jacket on top with shorts on the bottom.

“Nice goose on the top. Be prepared for the wind chills but I’m also prepared to sit in the park and chill on the Commons,” the man said.

We joked with a revolutionary tour guild from the Boston Common asking him for his historic perspective.

“I think it is great. I’m used to being freezing to death out here in February. It’s a very nice change,” the tour guide said.

Many people agreed it really did seem like February was playing the role of late April or early May on this winter day.

“I was not expecting short sleeve weather in February,” a man walking by Fenway said.

We also stopped by Logan airport where people traditionally try to get out of town during the cold stretch of winter.

“It’s actually warmer here than it is in San Antonio right now,” a passenger said.

“I was shocked to see the weather this morning,” a woman said. But the real shocker may be right around the corner.

“We still have the whole month of March to go,” another woman said.
