Winter Princesses visit Holidays downtown

Dec. 3—St. Joseph's Holidays Downtown continues with a winter wonderland themed event held for the community on Saturday night.

Disney's Frozen Princesses, Elsa and Anna, along with a special appearance from Frosty the snowman, visited downtown to take holiday photos with families and hear what children wrote on their Christmas lists this year.

Jason Hudson, the event host, said the princess themed event was a unique way to get the community into the holiday spirit.

"It's usually Santa who makes a special appearance at holiday events around Christmas time so it's fun to do something different," Hudson said. "We decided to celebrate the holiday season with a winter wonderland and our two winter princesses, Elsa and Anna. We want people to continue to enjoy holidays downtown."

Downtown Holidays will continue for the next two Saturdays with different themed events and special appearances set for each day.

"If you're not in downtown St. Joe you've got to get out," Hudson said. "We'll have different characters to come and meet every Saturday and the night will end with free horse carriage rides from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m."
