Winter storm forces postponements of boys basketball sectionals in Northern Indiana

A winter storm warning throughout Northern Indiana has caused the postponement of multiple IHSAA boys basketball sectionals involving South Bend-area teams. Below is a list of those affected. The list will be updated as additional schedule changes are announced.

4A at Elkhart

Semifinals at Elkhart have been pushed to Saturday with the final to be played at 7 p.m. (EST) Monday.

Saturday, March 4

Penn vs Goshen, 6 p.m.

Concord vs Northridge, 7:30 p.m.

Monday, March 6

Sectional championship, 7 p.m.

4A LaPorte

Semifinals at LaPorte High School have been pushed to Saturday with the final to be played at 7:30 p.m. (EST) Monday.

  • LaPorte vs Michigan City, 5:30 p.m.

  • South Bend Riley vs Mishawaka, 7 p.m.

3A at Jimtown

All remaining games will be played on Saturday as follows:

  • South Bend Washington vs Mishawaka Marian, 10:30 a.m.

  • New Prairie vs South Bend Saint Joseph, noon

  • Sectional championship, 7 p.m.

3A at NorthWood

Semifinals at NorthWood have been pushed to Saturday with the final to be played on Monday (7:30 p.m. EST)

Saturday, March 4

  • Lakeland vs West Noble, 6 p.m.

  • Fairfield vs NorthWood, 7:30 p.m.

Monday, March 6

  • Sectional championship, 7:30 p.m.

3A at Knox

All remaining games will be played on Saturday as follows:

  • Knox vs. Culver Academies, 11 a.m. (EST)

  • Bremen vs Glenn, 1 p.m. (EST)

  • Sectional championship, 8 p.m. (EST)

2A at North Judson

All remaining games will be played on Saturday as follows:

  • South Central (Union Mills) vs North Judson, 11 a.m. (EST)

  • South Bend Career vs LaVille, 1 p.m. (EST)

  • Sectional championship: 8 p.m. (EST)

1A Triton

All remaining games at Triton have been moved to Saturday.

Saturday, March 4

Oregon-Davis vs. Culver Community, 10 a.m.

Argos vs. Marquette Catholic, noon

Sectional championship, 7:30 p.m.

1A Hamilton

No changes have currently been made as of yet.

Friday, March 3

  • Lakewood Park Christian vs. Lakeland Christian, 6 p.m.

  • Elkhart Christian vs Bethany Christian, 7:30 p.m.

Saturday, March 4

Championship, 7:30

Michigan district

The Division 3 Coloma girls basketball district championship between No. 1-ranked Buchanan and No. 7 Brandywine has been postponed until Saturday at 1 p.m.
