Up and at 'em, Laurel! Here's everything you need to know to get this Tuesday started off right.

First, today's weather:

Plenty of sunshine. High: 45 Low: 22.

Here are the top three stories today in Laurel:

  1. According to Patch reporter Deb Belt, Maryland may experience winter weather this week. Cold 40 mph winds will drive snow and sleet Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. However, it will all melt away by Thursday when temperatures climb into the 70s. Clouds, showers and a potential thunderstorm may dampen the return of spring-like weather on Thursday. (Patch)

  2. Rosaline Law is a Prince George’s County-based health coach and owner of Heavenly Bodies Live, LLC. She has been a champion for women’s health for over a decade. Now, she wants to help people shed those "pandemic pounds" that were gained over these recent years due to the stresses, trauma and changes in our world that were caused by COVID-19. (WTOP)

  3. Governor Larry Hogan, Senate President Bill Ferguson, and House Speaker Adrienne A. Jones recently announced that they have reached a historic bipartisan agreement to provide $1.86 billion in tax relief over five years for Maryland retirees, small businesses, and low-income families. Gov. Hogan said that it is "the largest tax cut package in state history with major and long-overdue relief for Maryland’s retirees." This legislative session will deliver nearly $2 billion in tax relief (combined with the recent gas tax suspension). (Maryland.gov)
