Wisconsin Fireworks That Are Still Happening In 2020

MILWAUKEE, WI — The ongoing COVID-19 pandemic in Wisconsin resulted in many Fourth of July fireworks displays, festivals and parades being canceled this year.

If you're interested in participating in a Fourth of July event this year, and are among the willing, there are still several events that are still happening.

Here's our list of events:

July 3

Elkhorn

Fireworks will go off at about 9:30 p.m. on Friday, July 3 at Sunset Park.

Muskego

The Muskego Water Bugs Ski Club will be hosting their annual July 3 fireworks show. The fireworks will be launched from a barge on Little Muskego Lake. Fireworks will be launched at dusk. The Water Bugs first ski show is Wednesday, July 8.


Oconomowoc

Oconomowoc is setting off their Independence Day fireworks on Friday, July 3 around 9:30 p.m. from Fowler Lake.

Delafield

The City of Delafield's Independence Day fireworks are set to be launched at about 9:30 p.m. on Friday, July 3 over Lake Nagawicka.

July 4

Browns Lake

The annual fireworks display is still on for 2020. Spectators can watch the fireworks from Fischer Park starting at dusk on July 4.

Burlington

Burlington's annual fireworks show will be launched over the Chocolate Fest grounds on July 4. A good viewing area will be Echo Park.

Eagle

The Eagle Diamond days is scheduled to take place over three days, starting on Friday, July 3. The festival will be held at Eagle Village Park. Organizers say there will be local food, about 20 craft vendors, carnival rides, water bumper cars, music and on Saturday night, and fireworks. The festival runs Friday from 3 p.m. to 10 p.m., Saturday from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Fireworks will start at dusk on Friday.

Greendale

Greendale's 2020 Fourth of July fireworks will be happening after all, but it's going to be a secret where they'll be lit off until about an hour before the show.
Greendale officials said they're lighting off fireworks from an "undisclosed location" on Saturday, July 4.

In an effort to maintain social distancing, Greendale officials said they will not be announcing the launch location until one hour prior to the show. The show begins at dusk, and the announcement will be made at 8:30 p.m. Saturday, officials said.

New Berlin

The New Berlin Fourth of July Family Festival will be a bit different this year. There will be a "reverse parade" on July 4 from 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. in which parade entries stay in one spot and families drive by in parade-fashion. Learn more about it here

Okauchee Lake

The annual Okauchee Lake fireworks are planned for Saturday, July 4 over Okauchee Lake. The fireworks are set to be launched at about 9:30 p.m. in "the channel."

Tichigan Lake

Fireworks are set to be launched at the north end of Tichigan Lake starting at dusk on July 4.

Hartford

Hartford's annual fireworks display is set to be launched from Lincoln Athletic Field starting at about 9:15 p.m. on Saturday, July 4. The city's annual Independence Day parade is still scheduled to step off at 2 p.m. on Main Street.
