Wisconsin man charged after allegedly killing co-worker at Pizza Hut & hiding body in dumpster

SOUTH MILWAUKEE, Wis. (WFRV) – A 31-year-old Wisconsin man was arrested and formally charged after authorities in southeast Wisconsin discovered a body in a garbage cart near a business on February 7.

According to the South Milwaukee Police Department, officers arrested Kavonn L. Ingram, 31, from Milwaukee, in connection to the case. The victim, identified as 55-year-old Alex Stengel from Cudahy, and Ingram were reportedly co-workers at the Pizza Hut Restaurant in South Milwaukee.

Law enforcement believes that money was the motive for the homicide, and Ingram is facing four felony charges for his alleged crimes.

Court records show that Ingram is charged with the following:

  • 1st-Degree Intentional Homicide

    • PTAC, as a Party to a Crime

    • Use of a Dangerous Weapon

  • Hiding a Corpse

    • PTAC, as a Party to a Crime

  • Armed Robbery with Use of Force

    • PTAC, as a Party to a Crime

  • Possess Firearm-Convicted of a Felony

Ingram is expected to make his initial appearance in the Milwaukee County Courthouse on Friday. If convicted, he faces life in prison.

According to the Milwaukee County Jail, Ingram’s bond appears to be set at $500,000.

The South Milwaukee Police Department says they are not seeking any additional suspects in this case, and no additional details were provided.
