Wisconsin man shot dead after conflict with another driver, 32-year-old arrested

CUDAHY, Wis. (WFRV) – Authorities in southeast Wisconsin have taken a 32-year-old man into custody following a shooting that resulted in a 41-year-old’s death.

According to the Cudahy Police Department, on Saturday, February 24, shortly after 5:45 p.m., officers were sent to the 5700 block of South Packard Avenue for a report of shots fired.

Upon arrival, officers found a 41-year-old South Milwaukee man who had been shot. Lifesaving efforts were initiated by someone who happened to be passing by the man alongside responding police officers and firefighters. Despite everyone’s best efforts, the South Milwaukee man died on the scene.

Preliminary investigations reveal that the victim was driving northbound on South Packard Avenue and was in a conflict with another driver traveling northbound. The conflict escalated when witnesses said the vehicles stopped, and the victim exited his car to confront the suspect.

A person of interest was identified, and the Cudahy Police Department obtained a search warrant for the suspect’s vehicle and home in Greenfield. A 32-year-old Greenfield man was taken into custody without further incident.
