Wisconsin men's basketball game set for Friday against Grambling State canceled because of winter storm

MADISON - Mother Nature can be a formidable opponent.

University of Wisconsin officials learned that again Thursday and announced the men's basketball game set for Friday night at the Kohl Center has been canceled because of travel issues for Grambling State.

According to UW officials, fans should retain their ticket and parking permits, which will be valid if a different opponent can be secured for a future date.

UW (9-2) is set to return to action Dec. 30 against visiting Western Michigan.

Jahcobi Neath likely out for season

Head coach Greg Gard told reporters that Jahcobi Neath likely will miss the remainder of the season. Neath had off-season surgery on his left knee and played in three games this season but has been experiencing issues with the knee. He last played Nov. 15 against UW-Green Bay.
