MADISON – Reserve outside linebacker Izayah Green-May has decided to transfer from Wisconsin and play his final season elsewhere.

Green-May, a fifth-year senior from Illinois, has started one game and played in 31 at UW.

He has two tackles in 12 games this season.

“Throughout my five years in the Wisconsin football program,” he wrote on Twitter, “I’ve grown a lot as a player and person. I’m thankful for all the opportunities, experiences and lifelong relationships this university has provided and allowed me to take advantage of.

"Big thank you to Coach Chryst & the coaching staff for believing in me, and for everything they’ve done to help me grow on and off the field. I’m extremely grateful for the fans and staff being part of my journey.

"Most importantly, thank you to my teammates for their support. Love all you guys. You’ll forever be my brothers and Madison will always be home to me.

“With that being said, I will be entering the transfer portal and using my last year of eligibility as a graduate student.”
