Wisconsin Player Drops and Shatters Trophy During Celebration
The Wisconsin Badgers had a little too much fun following their win over the Wake Forest Demon Deacons in Charlotte, North Carolina, on December 30, with a player accidentally dropping the Duke’s Mayo Bowl Trophy and shattering it.
Video posted to his Instagram stories by Wisconsin running back Julius Davis shows the team dancing in the locker room. Quarterback Graham Mertz enters the dance circle, holding the Duke’s Mayo Bowl Trophy and promptly dropping it. “Ooooh!” the team collectively gasps as the crystal trophy explodes.
