Market Boutique opens in Rome
Market Boutique opened April 27 at the former Bison Trading Co. storefront at 285 Geneva Trail in Rome.
Shoppers can find a variety of clothing, accessories, home décor, candles and more. According to the shop’s website, the store’s owner and her family have spent summers in Rome for the last 20 years, and she had been dreaming about opening a location for her store in Rome for the last 10 years.
“Some of our favorite family memories have been made here,” she wrote. “Our boys don’t remember a summer without Lake Camelot.”
Market Boutique also has a second store on Main Street in Oshkosh.
The store in Rome is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays, and Sundays “by chance,” according to its Facebook page. For more information, visit marketboutiqueonmain.com or find Market Boutique in Rome on Facebook.
EPC to close this month
EPC, which stands for Every Penny Counts, will close May 13, according to its Facebook page.
The store opened Jan. 7 inside Suite A at 2920 Eighth St. S. in Wisconsin Rapids.
EPC offers a variety of clothing, home goods, sporting goods, hardware, electronics, toys, pet accessories and baby items. It is running a closing sale, offering 50% off items.

White Sands Mini Golf opens for 2023 season
White Sands Ice Cream & Mini Golf opens Saturday for its 2023 season. In May, the mini golf course, concession stand and arcade will be open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays.
Cara and David Johnson announced last November they were the new operators of the business and they were excited to honor the history and nostalgia of White Sands in the area while having fun adding in new ideas.
In addition to regular visits for golf, ice cream and arcade games, people can purchase individual or family season passes or go with a party package that includes two hours in the arcade, mini golf and a mini scoop of ice cream for a group of people.
