Wisconsin Sheriff's Office Shares New Footage of February's Deadly 119-Car Pile-Up

The Winnebago County Sheriff’s Office in Wisconsin released new footage on March 20 showing their response to a February 24 pile-up in whiteout conditions involving 119 vehicles and 232 people on Interstate 41 near Neenah.

The sheriff’s office had earlier released 32 seconds of bodycam footage shot by a deputy. That footage is included in the new, extended video.

One fatality was confirmed, along with 144 crash-related injuries, according to the sheriff’s office.

The sheriff’s office said a stretch of I-41 was closed before fully reopening on Monday, February 25.

The National Weather Service had warned against travel on roads in north and central Wisconsin on the day of the pile-up. Credit: Winnebago County Sheriff’s Office via Storyful
