Wise Co. man arrested after deputies find pound of meth, fentanyl

WISE COUNTY, Va. (WJHL) – Wise County deputies took a man into custody Wednesday morning after reportedly finding more than one pound of methamphetamine and fentanyl, according to a release from the Wise County Sheriff’s Office.

A sheriff’s office spokesperson said deputies conducted a traffic stop on Route 58 outside of St. Paul and reportedly discovered more than one pound of methamphetamine and fentanyl along with about $2,000 in cash.

The sheriff’s office reports search warrants had been obtained for the vehicle, home and person after investigators gathered evidence.

The sheriff’s office identified the driver as Bradly Mitchell Chester of Pound, Virginia.

Chester was charged with possession of drugs with intent to distribute, the release states.

As of Wednesday, Chester is being held at the Southwest Virginia Regional Jail with no bond.
