GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KREX) — Grand Valley High School celebrated its first-ever wish week, benefitting Make-A-Wish Colorado with a school assembly honoring local wish kid, Sierra Salisbury.

Sierra is a three-year-old girl from Parachute, Colorado who has a respiratory disorder. Her wish is a trip to Walt Disney World Resort. Students at Grand Valley celebrated Sierra at an all-school assembly with Disney-themed games. The assembly culminated the students` week-long fundraising efforts to help fund Sierra’s trip to Disneyland.

Students created penny stalls during the school day, a dodgeball tournament, movie night and fundraisers at basketball games. Grand Valley High School students will also host a silent auction Friday, February 9th and a school dance on Saturday, February 10th.
