Witches, goblins, ghouls greet crowd at Downtown Fremont's Harvest Happenings

FREMONT - On Saturday, Downtown Fremont had scary characters filling the streets — including princesses, witches, dragons, ghosts, and ghouls at the Harvest Happenings farmer’s market event.

This event combines trick-or-treating with the Downtown Fremont farmers market. The event again included free pumpkins from Polter Berry farm.

Families invited to stop at craft booth

The festivities included crafts such as dipped pinecones in peanut butter and birdseed for the birds, and other activities at different booths.

“I love coming down to this event cause it’s mostly for the children, you know, the little ones, to have fun collecting candy from each vendor and the local business safely,” Janet Ryler said. “We know where the candy comes from.” Ryler said she brings her grandkids to the downtown event each year.
