SHOREWOOD, IL —Bliss Hair Studio in Shorewood is hosting a month long fund-raiser to benefit the popular annual event, Witches Night Out of Joliet. Bliss is now selling raffle tickets for a chance to win gift certificates or a witch's cauldron full of hair products.
In years past, Witches Night Out is one of Will County's biggest and most successful charitable events, but because of the coronavirus outbreak, the two-day event will not be held. It typically draws more than 3,000 people. But that has not stopped the generosity of Bliss Hair Studio.
"We are choosing to partner with Witches Night Out because it's an incredible women-led charitable organization that works to better the lives of women and children right here in our own community," remarked Mary Smith, co-owner of Bliss Hair Studio in Shorewood.
In October, Bliss is selling raffle tickets to win one of 14 $100 Bliss Gift Certificates or a witch's cauldron full of hair care products, the business announced in a news release.
Anyone can visit the salon to buy raffle tickets, which are $5 each or five for $20.
"We are hoping to reach our goal of raising over $5,000 for the recipient agencies and would love the support of our clients and community to reach this goal," Smith added.
The recipient agencies chosen by Witches Night Out for 2020 are: Casa, Guardian Angel Community Services and Stepping Stones Treatment Services.
