Washington Wizards second-round pick Isaiah Todd surprised his mother, Marlene, with a brand new house, he told Quinton Mayo of “BetMGM Tonight” recently.

Todd, the 31st overall pick, posted to his Instagram story on Thursday that he helped his mother purchase the home. He said that he was thankful and blessed to be able to help his mom at such a young age after joining the Wizards this year.

The 20-year-old signed a four-year, $7 million contract with the Wizards in August. The first three years of the contract are reportedly fully guaranteed as the organization is excited about what he brings to the court.

Todd logged two appearances with the Wizards during the preseason, totaling two points and five rebounds in 20 minutes. He averaged eight points, 5.3 rebounds and 1.7 blocked shots in three games during the Las Vegas Summer League and offered a glimpse of his potential.
