The Cincinnati reporter discussed going viral on the social media platform and quickly gaining over 1 million followers by sharing her experience as a news anchor and member of the LGBTQ community.

Mitchell, who has worked at WLWT for over five years, launched her TikTok account in 2020. She now has more than 1.8 million followers and posts videos showing her day-to-day life as a TV reporter.

The anchor said appearing on Hall's eponymous show was a "full-circle moment" because she interned for the broadcaster and talk show host in 2011. In January, Mitchell will leave WLWT and move to Dallas to work for the TV station WFAA, where she will focus on LGBTQ stories.
