WNIT: Islanders women to face Wyoming in first round on Friday
The Texas A&M-Corpus Christi women's basketball team will take on Wyoming in the first round of the WNIT on Friday in Laramie, Wyoming.
The Islanders, who will play at 7:30 p.m. CDT, earned the automatic bid from the Southland Conference as they shared the league championship with Southeastern Louisiana, who earned the conference's NCAA Tournament berth.
The Islanders enter the tournament with a 19-11 record and Wyoming is 22-10 and finished 13-5 in the Mountain West Conference.
