WOBURN, MA — Woburn has 13 positive adult cases of the new coronavirus, the city said Thursday, five more than Wednesday. Two of the residents are currently hospitalized, the city said. At least one resident has recovered from the virus.
Early Wednesday, the city had just two positive cases. That increased by six with an update Wednesday evening.
There are over 2,000 positive cases in the state, as of Thursday afternoon, and 25 residents have died.
"As we are all aware the positive cases in every city and town are on the rise," the city said. "We are continuing to work very closely with state laboratories and health care providers to make sure that all positive cases and known contacts are given the appropriate guidelines to keep themselves and other residents as safe as possible."
