Wolfpack boys sweep Flathead
May 9—Tuesday's rain showers held off long enough for Flathead and Glacier to complete the second and last crosstown tennis meeting of the season at FVCC.
Flathead and Glacier girls tied 4-4, while the Glacier boys won 8-0. When the schools last met April 13, the Wolfpack girls won 5-3 and boys 8-0.
Alexis Kersten topped Miley Fritz 6-0, 6-0 to help the Bravettes to four singles wins.
Glacier swept the girls doubles. Haven Speer and Sarah Downs defeated Clara Jones and Emmary Faerber 6-0, 6-0. Speer and Downs are 11-0 in matches this spring.
Glacier's Will Rudbach beat Flathead's Quaid Ring in No. 1 boys singles, 6-1, 4-6, 6-3. Rudbach is 12-1 in matches this season.
Also continuing a strong season is Harrison Sanders and Timmy Glanville, the Glacier duo who won 6-3, 6-1 over Flathead's Ezias Bailey and Tyler Shawback.
The Glacier boys are 10-1 overall in duals and the girls are 7-2-2.
Next up for both Flathead and Glacier is a set of duals against Bozeman and Gallatin at FVCC on Friday, and then the Northern AA divisionals in Great Falls next week as the tennis season wraps up.
