The Black Hills boys soccer team woke up and chose chaos Tuesday, throwing a wrench into the 2A EvCo pecking order with a 4-3 win in overtime over W.F. West in Chehalis.

Jack Ellison scored the game-winning goal in extra time off of a feed from Jace Brookerson to send the Wolves back north happy after a wild, back-and-forth affair.

Black Hills took an early lead thanks to a Brady Mitchell goal in the fifth minute. It took W.F. West 15 minutes to equalize, but once Elvis Leal Perez made it 1-1 in the 20th minute, it took under 60 seconds for Adrian Jaimes to give W.F. West a 2-1 lead.

Shane Braz evened the score just before halftime, sending the teams into the locker room level at 2-2.

After 30 minutes of stalemate, Ellison gave the Wolves a 3-2 lead in the 71st, but once again, the Bearcats scored in quick succession, courtesy of Israel Lopez Cruz.

The result gives W.F. West four losses in 2A EvCo play; the Bearcats are still in second place in the league, but only sit a half game ahead of Tumwater. Black Hills, meanwhile, moves up to 5-5, giving the Wolves some breathing room in fourth place.
