Woman, 3 children hospitalized after SUV, armored truck collide in Phoenix

One woman and three children were taken to local hospitals after a crash in Phoenix on Wednesday afternoon, according to the Phoenix Fire Department.

The crash, reported about 2 p.m., happened after a black SUV collided with an armored truck near 34th Way and Bell Road, according to the Phoenix Police Department.

The woman, 19, and two of the children, ages 4 and 8, were transported in critical condition. The other minor, 13, was taken in stable condition.

The last occupant of the SUV, an adult male, refused evaluation and treatment, according to the Fire Department.

The armored truck had two people in it, and they received minor injuries, according to Sgt. Andy Williams with Phoenix police.

Police did not release identities or further details about the crash.
