Woman, 54, killed by stray bullets outside Brooklyn barber shop

Stray bullets killed a woman outside a Brooklyn barber shop on Thursday night, authorities said.

The 54-year-old victim was standing outside the Emage Barber Shop. on St. John’s Place near Rochester Ave. in Crown Heights just after 8:30 p.m. when a suspect started indiscriminately spraying bullets, police said.

The woman, whose identity was not immediately released, was hit several times in the chest, said cops. A 30-year-old man nearby was shot in the arm, cops said.

Police do not believe the woman was the shooter’s intended target, cop sources said.

Medics took both victims to Kings County Hospital. The woman could not be saved. The wounded man refused to cooperate with investigators, sources said.
