Woman Arrested For Allegedly Assaulting Bus Driver in Culver City

CULVER CITY, CA — A 26-year-old woman was arrested Wednesday on suspicion of attacking a Culver City bus driver last month.

The driver suffered lacerations to her face, swelling to her head and a bite mark to her arm in the June 12 attack, which occurred about 1:45 p.m., according to the Culver City Police Department.

Police shared surveillance photos of the suspect on social media and received "numerous tips" from the public that led them to identify Shianne Lovings as the suspect, according to a CCPD statement.

Lovings was arrested in Rosemead and booked on suspicion of battery on a bus operator inflicting injury, police said.

Police did not identify the victim nor release a motive for the attack.

In a video released by Culver City Police Department on social media, a woman walks through the bus over the divider between the driver and riders. The suspect begins attacking the driver and yells "Drive Bitch."

Following the assault, the video shows the suspect damaging the windshield wipers of the bus.
