Woman arrested after allegedly throwing cell phone at Fort Gordon soldier's face

A woman was arrested Monday after allegedly throwing a cell phone at a Fort Gordon soldier's face.

Just before 10:30 a.m. Monday, a person called the Columbia County Sheriff's Office to report a fight at T-Bonz Steakhouse in Evans, according to an incident report.

When deputies arrived, they met with the soldier and noted he had a cut above his mouth, according to the report.

T-Bonz security cameras showed the soldier talking to the woman by a car before she pushed him and threw her cell phone at his face, according to the report.

He picked up the cell phone and "calmly" walked backed to his car before being "rushed" by the woman, deputies noted in the report. The video showed the woman attempting to grab him as he retreated toward the front of the restaurant.

The soldier was chased approximately four parking spaces before being pushed again by the woman, according to the report.

The woman was placed under arrest and transported to the detention center, according to the report. She is charged with battery family violence.
