Woman arrested on felony assault charge after shot fired at MS Coast apartment complex

D’Iberville police have arrested Ziesha Quintara Harris, 26, of St. Martin on a charge of domestic violence-aggravated assault over an incident at Timber Grove Apartments on Auto Mall Parkway, a police department news release says.

Officers went to the complex Thursday night after someone reported shots fired. A resident told officers that she heard a couple arguing, followed by a gunshot.

Officers found a vehicle with a bullet hole in the driver’s side door, Chief Shannon Nobles said in the news release. They found a victim who said that he had been in an argument with Harris. The man said that Harris hit him with her car and then fired a single shot as she was leaving.

The man who reported the argument was not injured. The Biloxi Police Department located Harris a few hours later on Irish Hill Drive, based on an alert D’Iberville Police issued. Officers took Harris to the D’Iberville Police Department, where detectives questioned her.

She was charged with the felony crime after the interview. Harris was released on a $250,000 bond set by Harrison County Justice Court Judge Albert Fountain. An initial court appearance is pending.
