A woman was critically injured in a shooting in Hartford on Sunday morning, police said.

Officers responded about 10:11 a.m. Sunday to reports of a shooting at 820 Wethersfield Ave. and found a woman in her 20s laying in the hallway of the building suffering from a gunshot wound, according to the Hartford Police Department.

She was taken to a nearby hospital where she was in critical condition but had been stabilized as of about noon on Sunday, police said.

Hartford Police Major Crimes and Crime Scene Divisions were investigating the shooting.
