Woman dead after car crash in Tampa Wednesday
A woman died Wednesday morning after a car crash on W. Hillsborough Avenue, according to the Tampa Police Department.
The woman was turning left onto N. Howard Avenue around 6:45 a.m. and turned in front of a Lexus SUV traveling eastbound on W. Hillsborough Avenue, police said. The Lexus driver tried to avoid a crash but ultimately struck the right side of the woman’s Prius, police said.
The woman was transported to the hospital after the crash where she was pronounced dead.
Police did not release the names of the drivers involved.
