A woman died after she was struck by a vehicle Tuesday night near Camelback Road and 51st avenue.

Officers learned the woman, identified as Stephanie Spooner, 37, was struck by a vehicle on 51st Avenue around 3:30 a.m., according to Phoenix police. She was taken to the hospital where she died.

The driver, believed to be in a dark-colored SUV, didn't remain on the scene.
