Woman dead after vehicle veers off road, strikes tree

A 35-year-old Rochester woman is dead following a crash on Saturday.

The crash took place around 9:45 a.m. on West Malloryville Road in the town of Dryden. According to New York State Police, Kimberly Anthony, the rear seat passenger in the vehicle, was killed after the vehicle veered off the road and collided with a tree in a residential front yard.

The vehicle was traveling northbound on Fall Creek Road before the crash, troopers said.

The driver, 38-year-old Cora-Su Brooks of Groton, New York, was taken to Upstate Medical University Hospital, along with 29-year-old Rochelle Landon of Ithaca, who was the front seat passenger.

The investigation into the crash is ongoing.
