Woman denied bail after shooting of husband who's suspect in child sex abuse case
The Baltimore County woman accused of shooting her husband in a Washington, D.C., hotel room remains held without bail Friday. Shanteari Weems appeared Friday afternoon before a judge, who denied her bail. Weems' supporters packed the courtroom for her hearing and became visibly upset at the judge's decision. The case stems from allegations that Weems' husband, James Weems Jr., sexually abused children at the Owings Mills day care center she runs.
