A woman, who didn't realise she was pregnant, has gone viral on TikTok after giving birth to a baby boy while travelling mid-air on a plane. A TikTok user named Julia Bernice captured snippets of the event, including passengers clapping and the surprised new mother being wheeled off the plane once it had landed, and shared the footage online. It has now been liked over 3 million times.

The video was captioned by Julia 'It’s the ‘baby being born while we’re above the Pacific Ocean’ for me' and also shows the pilot asking everyone to remain seated whilst a passenger seeks medical assistance.

Surprised new mother, Lavinia, has now had a Go Fund Me page set up in her honour by her sisters, who say that the baby, a boy named Raymond Kaimana Wade Kobe Lavaki Mounga, is currently in an intensive care unit in Hawaii (where the plane landed) and will hopefully be able to return home to Utah in a few weeks.

"Our miracle baby nephew was born 29 weeks along with 3 hours left on our flight and was such a strong trooper," the page reads. "Our sister did not know she was pregnant so she was just as shocked as the rest of us when our nephew was born!"

It continues on to say, "Baby is currently in the NICU growing stronger and stronger each day. Lavi and [her] baby will be staying in Hawaii longer while baby gets healthy enough to fly back home to Utah."

Lavinia's sisters explained that any money donated will go towards medical bills. "The money donated will be used to help alleviate some of the financial burden of the medical bills as baby will be in the hospital until end of May/June."

They signed off by saying their unexpected nephew is already a much-loved member of the family and that everybody is looking forward to bringing him home, "We love our little baby Raymond Kaimana Wade Kobe Lavaki Mounga and can’t wait til we are able to bring him back home to Utah."

Well, that's certainly a flight nobody is going to forget in a hurry! And we're so very glad to hear that both mother and baby are now doing well.
