Woman Dies, Another Tests Positive For Coronavirus In Oak Park

OAK PARK, IL — Oak Park health officials announced one person who had tested positive for the coronavirus has died. According to the Village of Oak Park, Oak Park's public health director said a woman in her 60s has died. Since April 2, 23 residents who had tested positive for the coronavirus have died, officials said.

This latest death comes as the Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) reports that another Oak Park resident — a woman in her 40s — has tested positive.

According to state data, the Village said 304 Oak Park residents have tested positive for the coronavirus since the first case was reported in the Village on March 18.
