Woman dies following early morning house fire in Harrisonville

HARRISONVILLE, Mo. — One person is dead and another is recovering following an early morning house fire in Harrisonville, Missouri.

First responders were called to the house fire around 4:45 a.m. Friday near E. 296th Street and S. Hess Road.

1 dead, 2 others injured after head-on crash in Kansas City

The Cass County Sheriff’s Office, along with multiple other agencies, responded to the scene and located two victims.

One victim, a woman, was taken to the hospital where she was pronounced dead. Her name has not been released at this time.

The second victim, a man, was taken to a local hospital and treated for smoke inhalation. He is expected to recover, according to the sheriff’s office.

Police continue search for hit-and-run driver that injured 2 women in Independence

The Cass County Fire Investigation Team is working with the Missouri State Fire Marshal
and other agencies to determine the cause of the fire.
