Woman dies in Griswold car crash
Sep. 16—GRISWOLD — Bianca Rodriguez, a 29-year-old woman from Brooklyn, Conn., died in a car crash in Griswold on Wednesday, state police said.
She was driving behind a tractor-trailer in the left lane of two on Interstate 395 south at 2:28 p.m. Wednesday, state police said. The tractor-trailer slowed as it approached the Route 164 overpass, and the front of Rodriguez's Nissan Rogue collided with the back of the tractor-trailer.
Police said Rodriguez died as the result of the accident, and the driver of the tractor-trailer — 51-year-old Johnni Evangelista of Cumberland, R.I. — was not injured.
The accident report indicated there were no passengers in either vehicle.
