A Fairfield Township woman, who police say was set on fire by her boyfriend's son last month, died Friday afternoon, officials confirmed.

Brenda Scott, 50, was attacked May 11 at a home on Arroyo Ridge Court, according to Fairfield Township police.

Robbi Davon Robinson, 23, is charged with aggravated arson and felonious assault. He is being held at the Butler County Jail awaiting trial.

"Scott was in a bedroom when Robinson assaulted her and then set her on fire," a press release said. "Scott got out of the house through a second-story window and into the backyard where a neighbor found her and called for help."

Court documents state Scott was punched in the face, had two teeth knocked out and suffered severe burns. She was flown to the hospital in a helicopter.

Fairfield Township police say they will continue to work with the Butler County Prosecutor's Office as authorities consider whether to file additional or upgraded charges against Robinson.
