Woman dies after oxygen tank runs out during power outage

A 73-year-old woman attempting to go up the stairs during a power outage in the Bronx has died, police say.

- New details on a woman who died climbing the stairs to her high rise apartment during a power outage. Police now identify that woman a 73-year-old Ada Longmore. She lived in a 19th floor unit in Co-Op City. Her body found yesterday in a stairwell between the 18th and 19th floors, she had an oxygen tank, which was empty.

Power is now back on at that building, Co-Op board says it is cooperating with authorities. Congressman Jamaal Bowman tweeted that Co-Op City urgently needs infrastructure investment and repairs. He says his office is working to ensure safety and reliable energy for residents of the complex.
