Woman dies in San Benito crash
Feb. 15—SAN BENITO — Police said they are investigating a crash that killed a woman after she plunged her car into a drainage ditch.
At about 4 p.m. Wednesday, police found her white Chrysler Pacifica in the ditch off Business 77 near PFC Juan Garza Road.
"Preliminary investigation revealed that the vehicle may have lost control while traveling westbound on East Business 77," officials stated in a press release. "It is believed that the vehicle rolled over several times before falling into the ditch."
Police were withholding the name of the woman, who was traveling alone, pending her family's notification.
