Woman dragged from train station and raped
A woman was dragged from a railway station and raped on a river path, police said.
The victim, who is in her 20s, was approached by the man at Stowmarket train station in Suffolk, some time between the late afternoon and evening on Sunday.
Suffolk Police said she was taken to the Gripping Valley River Path, off Station Road East, and raped.
Det Insp Mark Hughes said its inquiries were ongoing and extra patrols would be carried out in the area.
"I can understand this is concerning for residents in the area," he said.
"This is a very serious incident and the victim is being supported by specialist officers."
Police have appealed for anybody with information or who was in the area between 15:00 and 20:00 BST on Sunday to contact them.
