Woman fatally shot in Pinal County home; Sheriff's Office seeking suspect

The Pinal County Sheriff's Office was looking for a man suspected of fatally shooting his wife Monday night at a home in the area of Padilla Road and Maricopa Road near Stanfield.

At about 9 p.m. a child called 911 and said that a family member had been shot by her husband and was dying, according to the Pinal County Sheriff's Office. The 30-year-old woman, later identified as Julieta Marin Amador, died.

The Sheriff's Office named Ismael Ortega Hernandez, 32, as the suspect. The Sheriff's Office said he ran away from the home, and his phone was found in the area.

Ortega Hernandez is between 5 feet, 5 inches tall and 5 feet, 7 inches tall with a thin build and was last seen wearing a black shirt and black pants.

He should be considered armed and dangerous, according to the Sheriff's Office.

In a video update Sheriff Mark Lamb said the Sheriff's Office have deployed several resources, including dogs, to find Ortega Hernandez.

"This turd shot his wife in cold blood right in front of the child, and we are absolutely looking for him... We want to catch this guy" Lamb said.

Lamb also shared his condolences with Marin Amador's family and thanked deputies and detectives who have been working on the investigation.

Anyone with information on his whereabouts was asked to call 911 or the Pinal County Sheriff's Office.
