BOCA RATON — Police in Boca Raton have identified a woman whose body was found floating in the Atlantic Ocean on Friday morning.

Investigators say the body of Megan Beaudet, 34, of Deerfield Beach was discovered about 1 mile east of 1100 S. Ocean Boulevard, off Boca Inlet park.

Boca Raton Police Marine Unit officers were on patrol about 9:15 a.m. Friday when they spotted Beaudet's body floating in the distance.

Beaudet's vehicle was found near the Pompano Beach Pier, about 7 miles south of the park. Surveillance-camera video showed her walking on the beach about 6:30 p.m. Thursday.

As of Tuesday afternoon, there was no indication of foul play surrounding her death, police said. Anyone with information about the case is asked to call Detective Alfredo Lima at 561-620-6246.
