Woman found dead in yard along Wilson Street
Aug. 1—A 32-year-old woman was found dead in her yard along the 200 block of Wilson Street Northwest in Decatur on Sunday morning, according to authorities.
The cause of the woman's death remains unknown.
"She was found sitting in a chair in her front yard," Morgan County Coroner Jeff Chunn said. "The body has been sent to the state forensics office in Huntsville for an autopsy."
Chunn said there was no visible sign of foul play at the scene. He said he received the call at 11:04 a.m. Sunday.
The coroner declined to identify the woman because of an investigation, which Decatur police said is ongoing.
