Woman Gives Up Medical Career to Start a Dog Day Care and We're Totally Inspired

Something tells us a lot of people have the same dream.

Vesna Ader is a pioneer among pet parents. Not only did she quit her job as a physician assistant after 17 years in order to pursue her (and her dog's) dream, but she made Portland, Oregon even more pet-friendly in the process. It's been about a year since she opened The Ruff House--an indoor dog park that serves food and drinks for pet parents, too--though her journey is only getting started.

The Ruff House is also a doggy daycare, boarding facility, grooming salon, training headquarters, and gift shop--inspired yet? Just wait until you learn how it all started in Vesna's very first TikTok video for The Ruff House's account.

Okay, she's seriously amazing. Not only is she smart AF (she worked as a PA for 17 years, after all), but she showed so much drive and passion in getting her new project off the ground. No wonder the video is getting so much love!

"CONGRATULATIONS!" wrote commenter @macie0220."Your literally living my dream girl!!" We have a feeling there are lots of viewers out there who feel the same way, so we hope this inspires them to find ways toward their own dreams. If Vesna can do it, so can you!

It seems like the inspiration is already rubbing off on @milaluvsmath. She said, "Congrats! I also just switched careers after 20 years! This is encouraging. 🥰," and we couldn't be happier for her. Encouragement and support are everything, and we're sure Vesna would agree!
