Woman Helps Untangle Chipmunk's Claw from Porch Chair

A woman helped a chipmunk dangling from a porch chair after she found its claw caught in the patio furniture at her home in Oakland, Maine, on June 8.

Christine Bishop, who uploaded the video to the Maine Wildlife Facebook page, told Storyful she ran out on the porch “without thinking” after she saw the struggling chipmunk swinging from the chair.

In the video, Bishop is seen lifting up straps on the chair to help untangle the chipmunk’s claw.

“He looked like he was going to bite at first, but then I think he realized I was trying to help,” Bishop said. Credit: Christine Bishop via Storyful

- Oh, girl. We should keep it. Yeah, like Kendall? Well-- they're a little squirrel, oh wait. That was probably like a chipmunk.

- Hey.

- Is it stuck? (GASP) It is stuck. Oh my God. Now it's gonna like, run off. Aw.
