Who is this woman hit and killed on a California interstate? Authorities seek answers

The name of a woman hit and killed by a vehicle on a California interstate in May remains a mystery that authorities are hoping to solve.

The unknown woman died May 14 on Interstate 880 in San Jose, the Santa Clara County Medical Examiner’s Office said in a news release on June 7. It’s not known if she was homeless or a transient.

She’s described as being 40 to 50 years old, 5 feet, 1 inches tall, 110 pounds with medium-length gray and red hair, brown eyes and natural teeth.

She has no obvious tattoos, the office said. It also released an artist’s sketch of the woman.

Authorities ask anyone with information to call 408-793-1900, ext. 3.
