Officers learned the woman drove over the curb and hit at least two people sitting at a table on the sidewalk in front of the store.

The woman struck at least two other people outside of the supermarket.

One woman, who had marks on her left shoulder and abrasions on her elbow and the left side of her head, was airlifted to Lawnwood Regional Medical Center & Heart Institute in Fort Pierce, according to the affidavit.

"She had some minor injuries and she's going to be OK and going to be released," said Lt. Richard Shine, Stuart police spokesman.

One person was transported to Cleveland Clinic Martin North Hospital in Stuart.

Investigators said the driver sped up to 35 mph in a black Kia and struck people on the sidewalk.

After the car hit the two people sitting at the table, one man attempted to stop the driver.

The driver attempted to back into the man and he jumped out of the way to dodge it.

Investigators said the woman then drove away.

Police followed her car until she drove to the Stuart Police Department and turned herself in.

She told officers voices in her head told her to kill the people, according to the affidavit.

Investigators said the woman told police she had mental illness and was under medication and the care of a doctor.

A corrections official said Wednesday the woman is in custody at Martin County Jail without bond.
