Woman hospitalized after being run over by tractor in Lubbock County
UPDATE: The incident was deemed as an accident by LSO and the woman was released from the hospital in the same day.
Lubbock County Sheriff's officials are investigating after a woman was injured when she was run over by a tractor early Friday afternoon.
According to LSO, deputies responded about 1:50 p.m. to the 8400 block of County Road 6520 for a call regarding a 29-year-old woman being run over by a tractor.
She was taken to a local hospital for treatment. Her condition was not immediately available as of Friday afternoon.
LSO's initial investigation revealed the woman was riding on the step of a tractor driven by her husband when she lost her balance and fell to the ground, where the tractor ran over the lower half of her body. Other factors contributing to the incident were not immediately clear.
According to LSO, the investigation is still ongoing.
